I am an independent designer and performing artist who currently lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau. My design practice centres on typography, which is often expressed through publication design, type design, branding and printed ephemera. Collaboration and design for social change are intrinsic to my practice. I take a thoughtful and conceptual approach to projects and am interested in the idiosyncratic outcomes that evolve from research specific to each project. I was an artist in residence at Studio One Toi Tū (2021–22) during which I developed a typeface in response to drag and burlesque performance culture on Karangahape Road.
